MOJCA PIŠEK A journalist, essayist, literary reviewer and traveler. She worked for Slovenian daily newspaper Dnevnik between 2007 and 2017 and began contributing to Slovenian daily Delo and Outsider magazine in 2018. She covers phenomena that span from arts, literature, culture, society to politics and thrives in column and long-form journalism. She received the Stritar Award for literary criticism by Slovene Writers’ Association in 2012 and the Watchdog Award for best young journalist in 2014 by The Slovene Association of Journalists. In 2019, she published her first book, a collection of essays called Knjiga, ki smo jo vendar vsi prebrali (The Book We Of Course All Read). The collection received a nomination for the national best book of essays award, Rožančeva nagrada.
